Mahkila Cooke, 16 years-old, has been studying dance at HSA with a full scholarship for 5 years.She doesn't just love attending class, when Mahkile needs someone to talk to or a space to clear her head, HSA is like her second home."Dancing makes me feel powerful because I feel I can make a difference. There aren't many African-American ballerinas in the ballet world nowadays, and knowing through hard work and dedication I can be one, makes me feel so powerful. After hundreds of children had finished their dance, piano and voice lessons one recent afternoon, the halls of the Harlem School of the Arts were quiet. Construction workers had also departed, leaving their tools behind.Just seven years ago, the school, founded in 1964, was $2 million in debt and temporarily closed. Villanova Indoor Track & Field Project
As part of the Villanova Track & Field team's continued effort to attract and develop top talent, the team has identified an area to construct an indoor Track & Field facility for the team to train. The planned facility will include a 200 meter track with an astroturf infield. Additionally, the facility will include bleachers, a training area, and men's and women's bathrooms. see more

With the addition of the Villanova Stadium West End Zone Complex, the cross country and track & field programs will move into a new locker room in the stadium. You can have a lasting impact by supporting this important project that will benefit current and future generations. VILLANOVA, Pa.--A pair of Villanova teammates and countrymen were each officially named to the Australian Olympic Team Wednesday afternoon and will represent their country at the Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil next month. Current senior Patrick Tiernan and 2015 graduate Sam McEntee were among the country's 61 selections to the Olympic team in Athletics.
